PURPOSE:To fix a back metal firmly to a trowel plate and prolong the service life of a plastering trowel by providing small projections in a line on the back of the back metal when forming the back metal provided between a trowel plate and a handle. CONSTITUTION:An upper die 2 having small holes arranged in a line is opposed to a lower die 4 having a long groove 3. A red hot columnar material 5 is put in between the upper die 2 and lower die 4 and worked under pressure. A bulged part between the upper die 2 and lower die 4 formed by working is removed by cutting. A handle 6 is attached to the back metal 5a thus formed, and small projections 7 are inserted in to holes 9 pierced on the trowel plate 8. |
