PURPOSE:To decrease a vibration mark in a continuous casting device which performs powder casting by providing specifically a pair of revolution type exciter and leaf springs which support a casting mold thereby vibrating the casting mold only in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal is charged from a tundish 1 through a nozzle 2 into a casting mold 3, by which a billet 4 is cast. A pair of revolution type exciters 8, 8' are mounted on the outside of the mold 3 in such a way that the center of rotation thereof exists on the horizontal line 11 running the center of gravity G of the mold 3. More specifically, the exciters 8, 8' which rotate to vibrate the mold 3, consist of, for example, driving parts 8a, 8a' and unbalance weights 8b, 8b'. The weights 8b, 8b' rotate around the line 11. The mold 3 is elastically supported by means of leaf springs 9 which are fixed in a stationary frame 10 and are mounted symmetrically at an equal spacing l0 above and below the line 11. Then each spring acts as a soft spring only in the vertical direction (casting direction) and the vibration mark is reduced by the vibration of the revolution type exciters. |
