PURPOSE:To provide the titled magneta ink excellent in color reproducibility, soln. stability, and resistance to light, well suited for process color, containing a water-soluble dye comprising water, a wetting agent, and a particular dye or its water-soluble salts, as a principal component. CONSTITUTION:In an ink compsn. for ink jet printers contg. water, a wetting agent, and a water-soluble dye as a principal component, dyes of formula (wherein X is an optionally substd. amino group) or water-soluble salts thereof are used as a water-soluble dye. Preferable substd. amino groups of said formula include N-monosubstd. amino groups of -NHR (wherein R is 6C or lower alkyl, alkylene, phenyl, substd. phenyl, ureido), N,N-disubstd. amino groups of -NRR' (wherein R, R' are 6C or lower alkyl, substd. alkyl), etc. |
