Process for the production of a detergent or cleaner with a salt of an alpha -sulpho fatty acid ester

A granular detergent or cleaner with a salt of an alpha -sulpho fatty acid ester and good powder properties is obtained by 1. separate preparation of a suspension (A) with a salt of an alpha -sulpho fatty acid ester and with negligible content of a strongly alkaline component and of a suspension (B) with a strongly alkaline component and 2. simultaneous spray drying of the two suspensions (A) and (B) in the same drying chamber. The described process makes it possible effectively to suppress unwanted hydrolysis of the salt of an alpha -sulpho fatty acid ester during the production of the granular detergent or cleaner. Agglomeration of a detergent or cleaner produced by this process does not occur over the course of time.
