The line pan for an armoured face conveyor comprises top and bottom fabrications releasably connected together. The top fabrication comprises a deck plate (12) and the upper part (10) of the sigma-section sides of the line pan. The bottom fabrications comprises the lower part (10A) of the sigma-section sides and a base plate (11). The furnishings are permanently attached to the bottom fabrication. The top fabrication has a sliding "drawer" section (12C) which can slide out on the face side of the line pan for inspection of the lower run of the conveyor chain - which is located below the deck. Sheer blocks (18) attached to the bottom fabrication at one end and engage in recesses (17) at the other end of an adjacent line pan. |
