摘要 PURPOSE:To enable simultaneous decrease of contents of hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen in a deposited metal in the stage of producing a fused flux for welding by incorporating a specific amt. of CaF2 in the flux and maintaining the basicity of the flux at a specific value or above. CONSTITUTION:A fused flux for welding is produced by charging fluorite and other raw materials as CaCO3, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, CaF2 sources which are the raw material for the flux into an electric furnace, and melting the same then air cooling and grinding the solidified melt. The compsn. is adjusted to contain 25- 65% CaF2 in the flux and the raw materials are compounded to have >=1.5 basicity B of the flux expressed by the formula [ I ]. The deposited metal formed by using such flux contains hydrogen, nitron and oxygen in a smaller amt. and has excellent toughness.
