Instant teas and instant tea drinks and also instant fruit teas and instant fruit tea drinks in the form of powders, granulates or pastes, which contain plant extracts and/or plant powders and/or fruit extracts and/or fruit powders, and also possibly flavour substances and/or aroma substances and a carrier, are produced by using a protein dispersible and/or soluble in liquid as the carrier. The content of plant extract and/or plant powder and/or fruit extract and/or fruit powder can be markedly increased. The novel products are not cariogenic.
