In known polymerisation devices, which use halogen lamps for generating a wavelength necessary for the polymerisation and are used for treating dental prosthesis parts in the mouth of the patient, screens must be provided for radiation protection and cooling arrangements must be provided for carrying off the heat; otherwise, the radiation efficiency is low and the polymerisation time is correspondingly long. The polymerisation device according to the invention avoids these disadvantages by using spectral lamps (1) which generate monochromatic radiation of the wavelength necessary for the polymerisation and focus the light at a spot in the inlet end (13) of a preferably flexible transmission facility (6) in such a way that the focus (B) lies within the inlet end (13).
