PURPOSE:To polarize the laser light propagating in a beam tube to a beam head and work online the surface of a rolling roll by providing a beam head support slidably with the beam tube that can be installed in parallel with a roll shaft near the surface of the rolling roll. CONSTITUTION:A support 9 is fitted freely glidably to a beam tube 6, and a beam head 7 is mounted via the tube 10 on the support 9. On the other hand, a slit 11 is cut on the top surface of the tube 6, and the tube 10 is supported at the bottom to a sliding metal 12. The hole 13 of the metal 12 is matched with the slit 11. The top surface of the metal 12 has a curvature and the bottom of the beam 10 is matched with said top surface. The laser beam from a laser transmitter 3 passes the tube 6 and while the beam is partly transmitted through a transmittable polarization mirror 14, it is partly deflected in the direction of the head 7, thereby irradiating the surface of the roll through a lens 15. |
