METHOD FOR DOFFING AND DONNING BOBBINS IN A SPINNING MACHINE

An automatic doffer moves vertically and tilts towards and away from the spindles during the removal of full bobbins and replacement of empty bobbins. The doffer can be held in and intermediate tilted position to place empty bobbins temporarily on a refuge support. The doffer is tilted by a first piston and is maintained in the intermediate position by a selectively movable stop that engages with the abutment on the doffer.
