1279880 Incinerators STEIN INDUSTRIE 29 Dec 1969 [30 Dec 1968] 63058/69 Heading F4B An incinerator comprises a furnace 1, a sectional chamber 8 resiliently supported on a mounting framework 5, the chamber serving to support a series of grates 10 disposed in stepped formation, means 12 for vibrating the chamber, and a fan 15 mounted on the framework connected flexibly to the chamber, the chamber being arranged to act as a distributor for air and to receive ash from the grates. Below the chamber 8, there is provided an air duct 18. Below each grate 10, there is suspended a metal curtain 18 dividing the chamber 8 into compartments, air being fed into each compartment from the duct 13. A seal 19 ensures fluid tightness between the chamber 8 and the wall of the furnace 1. |
