PURPOSE:To form a rubbery compsn. having good mechanical strength as well as good resistance to weather, wear and heat etc., by blending a modified copolymer composed of a major portion of ethylene and a minor portion of a monomer having a polar group with at least two inorg. fillers including carbon black. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. modified ethylene copolymer (A) obtd. by modifying an ethylene copolymer (1) with an unsaturated amine or alcohol (2) having at least one double bond is blended with 10-200pts.wt. filler (B). The copolymer (1) is composed of a monomer unit of formula I, a monomer unit of formula II and a monomer unit of formula III and/or a monomer unit of formula IV wherein the proportion of the monomer unit of formula II is 8-45mol% and the combined quantity of the monomer unit of formula III and the monomer unit of formula IV is 0.05-5.0mol% the filler (B) is at least two members selected from among carbon black, inorg. materials having an Si-O linkage and inorg. materials having no Si-O linkage (provided that 5-150pts.wt. carbon black must be used). |
