[Also in Divisions C3 and D2] A fibre fleece comprising polyamide and regenerated cellulose fibres is impregnated with a polyurethane solution, introduced into a water bath and dried and the resulting substratum coated with a layer of a.polyurethane gel which has been prepared by adding ammonia nitrate to a polyurethane solution in a suitable solvent in order to precipitate the polyurethane in gel form, the liquid phase being removed by centrifuging or evaporation. The coated substratum is then introduced into a water bath and dried to provide the substratum with a microporous water vapour permeable coating.</p> |
