PURPOSE:To permit a large capacity load to be burdened by forming the turn- over receiving part for a rubber boot onto a housing which forms an air chamber and allowing said receiving part to be attached onto the turn-over part of the rubber boot before the load in the case when a piston rod extends perfectly is applied onto a shock absorbing member at the bottom and allowing a part of the load to be burdened. CONSTITUTION:Before a bump stop 32 is attached onto a retainer 33, the receiving part 29 of a housing 22 which moves integrally with a piston rod 17 is attached onto the turn-over part 25 of a boot 23. The perfect extension load in the final period of stroke of the piston rod 17 is received by the boot 23, of course by the bump stop 32. Therefore, the load absorbing capacity is increased, and the perfect extension load in a large capacity can be burdened. The load in the vicinity in the final period of stroke is varied smoothly, and the load in perfect extension is absorbed softly, and shock can be reduced. The shock absorbing characteristic can be selected arbitrarily by changing the caulking position for the boot 23. |
