A pulley assembly comprises a support member 10, a carrier body 13 having an inner race track 16 secured to the support member 10 and a pulley body (not shown) mounted on and for rotation relative to the carrier body. The support member 10 and carrier body 13 are both formed of sheet metal. One of them has at least one bore 15 and the other has at least one integral element 12. The or each element 12 comprises a shank 11 having at its free end a head 17. The shank 11 of the or each element 12 projects through the or one of the bores 15. The support member 10 is secured to the carrier body 13 by rivetting or crimping.
