PURPOSE:To permit a damping force to be selected in accordance with traveling condition and state of use by adjusting a control vavle in a piston rod by the coincal surface of an adjusting screw which can be remote-controlled by a flexible wire, thus facilitating control of damping force with such compact constitution even at a place beyond hand. CONSTITUTION:The opening area of a passage 22 for working oil is controlled by the needle 22a of a control valve 22 abutted onto a control rod 23 in a piston rod 19. The conical surface 27 of a conical body 26 fixed on an adjusting screw 25 screwed in crossing with the piston rod 19 is attached in slidable ways onto a slider 24, which is pushed through the concinal surface 27 when the adjusting screw 25 is turned. A flexible wire 30 is connected to the conical body 26, and the conical body 26 and the adjusting screw 25 are turned by the revolution of an inner wire 32. The other edge of the inner wire 32 is connected with a remote operation member 35 and installed rotatably onto a control plate 36, and an indication position 37 is opposed to a collation mark 38. Thus, gradational turn of the operation member 35 is permitted with a spring 39 and a ball 40. |
