PURPOSE:To know the contents of correction executed in the past when abnormality is generated in a program by storing the corrected contents, correcting data and time, corrector's name, the number of times of correction, and correcting volume of the program in a specific file as the correcting career of a source program. CONSTITUTION:A correction executing program 4A copies the source program 2A in a correcting work area 6 prior to the execution of correction and reflects the contents of correcting data 1A in the area 6 to complete the corrected program in the area 6. The source program 2A is compared with the corrected program in the area 6 and the contents of the program 2A and that of the corrected program in different parts are respectively stored in a program correction career file 5A. The different parts are correcting positions 7. The area 6 is copied in the source program 2A to complete correction. Maintenance/ control information such as the correcting data and time, corrector's name, the number of times of correction is also stored in the file 5A.
