PURPOSE:To give an accurate stereoscopical impression upon the eye, by arranging screen elements, each of which consists of a slender variable curved face having a concave mirror on one surface, in a line to constitute a screen and projecting alternately and repeatedly the left eye image and the right eye image synchronously with the operation of variable parts. CONSTITUTION:In respect to variable curved faces with concave mirrors 3 of elements MS1 and MS2, surface layers consists of a glass plate 4, and a piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride film 6 having aluminium vapor-deposited electrode layers 5 and 5' are adhered to their backs; and a diffusing reflective body 7 is arranged. A projector 9 receives the synchronizing signal from a microcomputer MC 10; and when the signal from the MC 10 is subjected to D/A conversion to apply a voltage across electrodes 5 and 5', elements are deformed properly in accordance with this voltage. One image, which is projected to the element MS1, out of both images sent from the projector placed at a point P is focused at a point Q of the diffusing plate, and the reflected image is reflected furthermore by the element MS2 and is focused at a point R1. When elements are deformed to positions MS1' and MS2' as shown by dot lines, the image is focused at a point Q2 and a point R2 in order through the optical path indicated by dot lines. The picture is seen with left and right eyes alternately when points R1 and R2 are defined as positions of left and right eyes, and thus, the picture is seen stereoscopically as the whole. |
