PURPOSE:To provide a stepless variable transmission with excellent maneuverability and durability by an externally threaded cylinder attached rotatably to a shaft of a split pulley to move a movably pulley together with an internally threaded cylinder screwed axially movable onto the externally threaded cylinder for expanding contractibly a V-groove of the split pulley. CONSTITUTION:An externally threaded cylinder 11 is rotatably attached to a shaft 4 through a bearing B1 not to move axially, and an internally threaded cylinder 12 mounted on a boss of a movable pulley 7b through a bearing B2 not to move laterally is screwed onto said cylinder 11. A support frame 17 has a guide groove 18 parallel to a shaft 4 on the upper portion, and a slide piece 19 projecting from the upper surface of said cylinder 12 fits loosely in the guide groove 18. Said cylinder 11 is pivoted by the rotation of a servo motor 14 through a rotary arm 15 and a pin 13 and thereby said cylinder 12 moves along the guide groove 18 so that the movable pulley 7b moves slidably on the both of a fixed pulley 7a and the shaft 4. |
