PURPOSE:To reduce the wt. of the titled anemometer while miniaturizing the same, by a method wherein a cylindrical detecting head of which the upper end is closed is supported by a support which is, in turn, vertically provided on an attaching stand and heat generators are received in the detcting head and the support while a strain detecting element is mounted to the support. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical detecting head 1 of which the upper end is closed is formed to be secured to a support pipe 2 made of a metal high in elasticity, for example, phosphorus bronze and said pipe 2 is vertically provided on an attaching stand 3. In addition, heat generators 8 are received in the detecting head 1 and the support pipe 2 and a strain detecting element 6 is mounted to the support pipe 2. As mentioned above, this inventive wind direction anemometer has such a mechanism that wind force acting on the detecting head is converted to the strain amount in the support pipe to be detected in the wind direction and the wind velocity thereof and has no rotary part and can be constituted in an extremely light wt. miniaturized structure. |
