摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliably small optical fiber gyro hard to age which is capable of measuring the angular velocity of rotation accurately by providing two subglass blocks between the main glass blocks, a lens and an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Light returned from an optical fiber loop 14 is partly taken out with second and third beam splitters 8 and 11 in subglass blocks B and C. When the amplitude intensity of the lights are E'l and E'r, they are proportional to the intensities of CCW light and CW light. As the transmittance and reflectance of the second and third beam splitters 8 and 11 are fixed, the intensity of light can be determined from the values E'l and E'r. In addition, the splitters 8 and 11 can be replaced with polarization beam splitters. This makes the clockwise light and the counterclockwise light the same in the direction of the polarization thereby improving S/N. As a result, a small and light optical fiber gyro can be constructed which is capable of measuring the angular velocity of the rotation accurately.
