PURPOSE:To enable setting of an exact time for exchanging a process cartridge which contains consumable parts and can be attached and detached to and from a main device by providing a display means which detects the time when electricity is conducted to the parts contained in the cartridge and displays the time for exchanging the cartridge in accordance with the detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 2 provided with a photoconductive layer on a conductive drum substrate is pivotally and rotatably supported in a copying device 1 using an electrophotographic method. A corona discharger 3, a short focus optical element array 4, a developing device 5, a transfer corona discharger 6 and a cleaning device 7 are provided around the drum 2 according to the rotating direction of the drum 2. The discharger 3, the device 5 and the device 7 are supported integrally by means of a housing 8 together with the drum 2 in the device 1. This housing 8 is guided and supported by a guide rail 9 provided on the main body side so that the housing is freely attached and detached to and from the main body. |
