PURPOSE:To shield the surface of an image carrier from external dust and light and to prevent deterioration in picture quality by covering the image carrier surface with a shield member when a developing means is taken out of the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A cover 22 is attached covering an opening part B rotatably on a frame body 18; when the developing device 5 is taken out, the cover 22 is opened by being rotated counterclockwise and the developer is taken out by being lifted by holding a grip 21. The opened cover 22 is returned to a position shown by a solid line by its own weight or by being energized by an elastic body, etc., provided at a rotation center position 22a to cover the opening part. Thus, the photosensitive drum 3 is shielded from external dust and light. |
