PURPOSE:To improve the modulating characteristic, by providing a circuit compensating the dispersion in the characteristic of a switching diode to a 0-pi phase modulator, and preventing the leakage of a carrier wave in the phase modulator. CONSTITUTION:Circuits 21, 23, and 22, 24 showing a low pass filter characteristic and resistance voltage division circuits 19, 20 are connected to each diode in the 0-pi phase modulator comprising switching diodes D1, D2 provided to a hybrid transformer T. The circuit 11 representing the low pass characteristic and the carrier wave input are connected to the primary winding of the transformer T. The resistance voltage division circuits 19, 20 are connected to a modulation wave input terminal 10. Thus, the leakage of the carrier wave of the modulator due to the dispersion in the characteristic of the switching diodes D1, D2 is prevented and the modulating characteristic is improved. |
