PURPOSE:To unnecessitate to feed associative data from a superior device by forming the data, by forming an associative field on the printer side by utilizing character codes. CONSTITUTION:In initial loading of the character codes, the codes are sequentially fed from the CPU side, and inputted into a code buffer 19 through an interface 11, a bus 23, a calculator 15, an accumulator 16 and a bus 25. The content of a register 26 is initially 0, and is incrimentally increased to be 1, 2, 3... each time the character code is fed into the bus 25. Thus, the character codes are sequentially written into the buffer 19, and a character code table is formed. The character code on the bus 25 is fed also into an associative buffer 13 to becom an address in the buffer. The buffer 13 is a memory of 1bitX 256 addresses, wherein a flag 1 is written at an address position represented by an 8- bit character code, and the associative field is formed. |
