PURPOSE:To enable continuation of recording by providing a means of detecting that the recording value reaches and exceeds the maximum or minimum value of the graduation scale of a recording paper and a inversion recording means of inverting the recording direction according to the detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A measuring signal generation circuit 1 outputs a physical or chemical variation to an arithmetic processing means 2 as eletrical measuring signal 4. The measuing signal 4 is initially converted into a digital value with an A/D converter 5 and inputted into a preset counter 6. When a large signal (peak value Np) considerably exceeding the scale span (n) of the recording paper is inputted into at the time t1, it is recorded up to the upper limits Su of the scale of the recording paper and a substraction of Np-n is done at the time t2 to make the signal negative in the polarity so that the recording is inverted. As a result, a fall line of m=1 is drawn and when it reaches the lower limit SD, the signal is outputted as remaining sigal of Np-2n and returned to be positive in the polarity and thus, the peak value of Np is recorded. This enables recording of correct signal values without skipping in recording by inverting the record at the upper and lower limits of the scale thereby accuring the reading of large and small signals at the same accuracy. |
