The pipe joint is intended for flanged pipes, having solid or hollow porfiles. The flared end(2) of the pipe(1) is inserted into a pipe coupling collar(5). An internal pipe sleeve(6) is anchored in the pipe end. On assembly, the two coaxial pipe ends(2, 6) are pushed into the sleeve(3) of the coupling collar. The inside end of this sleeve has an external taper(1) which, when forced into the pipe ends, produces an expansion that pushes the pipe wall into the undercut sides(4) on the sleeve bore. The contact parts of the joint are preferably secured by an adhesive.
