PURPOSE:To monitor the desulfurizing capability by measuring a value of surface contact resistance of medium plate which reacts with active sulphur. CONSTITUTION:In a desulfurizing apparatus for electrical insulation oil, inorganic glass or cellulose filters 8a, 8b are installed in both end portions of a cylindrical vessel 3a and a plural pairs of medium plates 9 consisting of copper or silver plate are alternately provided from the internal surface within the vessel. The space between said medium plates 9 is filled with the fibrous copper or silver medium 10. An electrode 11 is held through an insulating bellows 12 at the flange 14 of exit side of vessel 3, pushing the medium plate 9 at the extreme end portion of exist side. An electric insulation oil passes a hole 15a of the flange 15 at the inlet side and the space between the medium plates 9 and is exhausted from a hole 14b of the flange 14 in the exit side. In this process, the active sulfur in the electric insulation oil reacts with medium 10 and medium plates 9. When the medium plates 9 react with the active sulphor, a surface contact resistance of medium plates 9 increases. Therefore, deterioration of medium plates can be detected by measuring such value. |
