PURPOSE:To improve the data processing speed, by storing data of a channel in a buffer during line disturbance and extracting the transmission data from the buffer memory for transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:When the state of line transmission line between MODEMs 1 and 2 is good, the data transmission between the MODEMs 1 and 2 is attained with the best transmission speed. When the state of line is deteriorated and an error detecting section ED' of the MODEM1 detects the deterioration of the transmission quality, the MODEM2 informs fallback to the MODEM1. The MODEM1 receives it to control switching sections SW1-SW3 and buffer memories BM1- BM3 and to store respectively the transmitted data of channels CH-1-CH-3 to the buffer memories BM1-BM3. After the data is stored, the buffer memories BM1-BM3 are read out sequentially and transmitted in the speed of 96kb/s. When the state of line is restored, the data of the buffer memories BM1-BM3 is read out and transmitted at the speed of 144kb/s, and when the transmission is finished, a switching section is controlled and the system is restored to the initial state. |
