PURPOSE:To make it possible to transfer ink in each color band in ink ribbon to recording paper, by providing the ink ribbon, which is dyed in multicolors in the longitudinal direction on a carriage, which is moved in the direction perpendicular to the feeding direction of the recording paper, so that the ribbon can be moved, thereby driving the paper by a corrected recording signal. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 9 is moved in the range of 250mm. from 0% to 100% thereof. Ink ribbon 91 is dyed into six colors in the order of purple (a), black (b), green (c), blue (d), brown (e), and red (f) with an interval of 3mm.. A dot striking body 92 is arranged so as to face each color band. With the movement of the recording head 9, one or plurality of dot striking bodies are driven by a dot striking color signal, which is temporarily stored together with the corrected number of steps, when the present position signal of a reference dot striking body of the head 9 that is stored in a memory agrees with the corrected step number stored in a memory. Printing is performed at the specified color corresponding to each CH. The magnitude of each input signal, which is applied to each input terminal, can be recorded by the specified corresponding color by dots. Thus the multiple dot, multicolor recording can be performed at a high speed. |
