MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To obtain a larger output of reproduction with high S/N by supplying intermittently a high frequency current to a magnetic matter and holding the peak value of an obtained reproduced signal to use this signal as a magnetic record/reproduction signal and therefore avoiding the thermal destruction of the magnetic matter. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency current is produced from a high frequency oscillator 6 and supplied to a pulse gate circuit 8. The circuit 8 uses the pulse signal produced from a pulse oscillator 9 as a gate control signal to gate the supplied high frequency current and to feed intermittently this current to a magnetic reproduction head 5. The head 5 produces an output of reproduction for a period during which the high frequency current is supplied. This reproduction output undergoes wave detection through a peak wave detecting circuit 7 and is led to a differential amplifier 10. The output of the amplifier 10 passes through the circuit 8 or a pulse peak wave detecting circuit 13 and then through a rectangular wave circuit (Box Car circuit) 14 which holds the pulse peak value and is extracted as a magnetic reproduction output via an LPF15 and then via an output amplifier 16.
