PURPOSE:To prevent dielectric breakdown accident or the like with a higher maintenability by measuring a flashover voltage between a pair of electrodes provided in an insulation gas within a metal container to enable direct measurement of the insulation gas. CONSTITUTION:A breaker 1, a current transformer 2, a transformer 3, a circuit breaker 4, a main circuit conductor 5 and the like is housed in a metal container 10 grounded and an SF6 gas is sealed into the container 10 as insulation gas to insulate the space. A bushing 7 is provided airtightly at the upper part of a wall 6 of the container 10 and an electrode 8b is connected to one end thereof in a pair of electrodes 8a and 8b with one thereof made the same in the phase as the wall 6. A fixed gas length G is set between the electrodes 8a and 8b through the SF6 gas and a testing transformer 9 is connected to the other end of the bushing so as to enable the checking of discharge between the electrodes. A voltage is applied between the electrodes 8a and 8b from the transformer 9 to measure the flashover voltage thereof thereby detecting the density of the SF6 gas. |
