PURPOSE:To facilitate easy separation between an adsorbed magnetic disk surface and the slider surface and to avoid the damage of these surfaces, by attaching a gimbal part of a magnetic head rotatably to the attachment part of an arm and having a rotary shift of the gimbal part to the arm with a fixed load. CONSTITUTION:A fixed load is applied to a slider 2 by a gimbal 3 during operation. The gimbal 3 is supported rotatably to an arm 4 via a rotary shaft 5. A plate spring 6 is attached at its one end to a stopper 7 welded to the arm 4 and applies the counterclockwise force to the gimbal 3. This counterclockwise revolution of the gimbal 3 is controlled at a position where an end of the gimbal 3 engages the stopper 7. This means an active mode. When a disk starts its revolution in an adsorption state, a rotational moment is applied to the shaft 5. Then a torque is generated at the attachment part. If the attachment part can turn with the value smaller than the torque obtained by adsorption, the gimbal 3 is deformed as shown by dotted lines in the figure against a plate spring 6. Thus a torsion torque is generated at the adsorbing part, and the adsorption is easily released. |
