The invention relates to passive self-regulation of the rotational speed of the propeller of a wind generator. This is obtained with the aid of a pneumatic spring 9 whose pressure determines the rotational speed which corresponds to the setting, which is itself fixed by the stops. This pressure adjustable from the ground according to the invention, is that of a tank 12 under pressure, buried in the ground. Safety devices 16, 17 make it possible to brake and stop the wind machine in the event of an anomaly, or for periodic maintenance. The invention is an improvement on wind generators installed in isolated sites, and simplifies the downstream application of the generator onto a motor, onto batteries or onto the grid. <IMAGE>
