PURPOSE:To judge the connection state, abnormality, short circuit, etc., of a battery by connecting a power source and a buttery circuit to a power supply line on OR basis, and providing a battery state detecting means for charge control. CONSTITUTION:Whether a battery 14 is connected or not is judged. When the detection output of a battery state detecting circuit 18 is >=4.6V, the battery is reconnected. Then, whether the battery voltage is abnormally low or not is judged. If the voltage is <=1.8V even after the battery 14 is charged, forcibly charging operation is stopped, a buzzer is driven for three seconds, and the execution of a program is stopped. When the voltage of the battery is within a prescribed range, the charge time of a charge counter provided in a specific memory area of an RAM26 is set to a one-minute charge interval for 15hr, and the forcibly charging operation is started to decrease the contents of the charge counter. Then, whether the charge counter is zero or not is judged again and when so, the forcibly charging operation is stopped and the execution of the program is completed. |
