Preparation of bitumen-polymer compositions from master solutions based on butadiene-styrene (SBS) copolymer, obtained by stirring the copolymer in a solvent medium at 120-180 DEG C and then, after homogenising, addition of solid sulphur and mixing of the final product with the bitumen. According to the invention an ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA copolymer is added to the SBS copolymer, the medium consisting of a mixture of an aromatic heavy cut from steam cracking of paraffinic fractions originating from the distillation of oil crudes and of a lighter aromatic petroleum oil of higher flash point. Application especially to the production of surface dressings, bituminous mixtures for roadways and industrial bitumens for sealing.
