An adjustable stop member 25 on the first lever 12 entrains the latch 24 to release the second lever, in contradistinction to the parent construction in which the equivalent stop (16) entrains the second lever itself. The effect of this is that, whereas in the parent case the second lever is accelerated by the spring 15 and the magnet 19 acting together, in the present case the spring 15 alone accelerates the second lever so that it strikes the magnet armature 18 in a hammer-like manner. This produces a more satisfactory electrical output from the magnet's coil 20. |
