PURPOSE:To eliminate misdetection of positional abnormality due to a slack of a ribbon by providing a member adapted to press the ribbon to a type belt on a ribbon separator in a printer with a ribbon position detector comprising an actuator and a switch. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 3 comprising a spring 15 and a press element 16 is provided at the position corresponding to the end of an ink ribbon 2 at the end of a ribbon separator 11 of a printer 5 and constitutes a detector for positional abnormality of the ink ribbon together with a microswitch 1 provided on a swing gate 12 as type belt section. In addition, the separator 11 is provided with a bracket 21 as protruded member below the actuator 3 and after the setting of a paper to press and move the ribbon 2 toward the swing gate 12 regardless of any slack 2a being generated in the ribbon 2 so that the press element 16 projects in the direction D to prevent the press driving of the microswitch 1. |
