PURPOSE:To reduce the vibration and noise of a rotary mechanism and lengthen the life thereof, by placing a previously pressurized bearing and the secured holder of an anode out of contact with each other, and providing an auxiliary ball bearing located under the previously pressurized bearing and freely movable in the direction of thrust of the anode. CONSTITUTION:The distance between the secured holder 9 of an anode and main bearings 14, 19 located far from the target of the anode is set large enough to keep the holder and the bearings out of contact with each other. An auxiliary bearing 25, which receives a force in the radial direction of the anode and is movable in the direction of thrust thereof, is provided near the bearing 14. As a result, the bearings and the secured holder of the anode are not likely to engage with each other, and no playing is caused in the direction of thrust of the anode. Since the temperature of the auxiliary bearing 25 does not much rise, the radial clearance between the ball and race thereof can be decreased to reduce the vibration and noise of a rotary mechanism and lengthen the life thereof.
