1. Process for the manufacture of rings (15-20) consisting of more than one metal, comprising on the one hand a first operation to obtain a composite cylinder having grooves (10) and indented parts (11) by at least partial deformation against an anvil of genrally cylindrical form of a cylinder consisting of more than one metal, the different layers of said cylinder being derived from metal cylinders welded by a high-energy welding method, and comprising on the other hand an operation for parting-off the indented composite cylinder, and a machining operation to eliminate at least some of the internal and/or external indentation, characterized in that one the one hand the anvil (1 ; 21) has a smooth cylindrical active surface, the obtaining of the cylinder consisting of more than on metal being carried out by deformation of the extreme layer (2 ; 22) of said cylinder, said extreme layer being provided with original grooves (5 ; 26-29) formed on the extreme surface with respect to the cylindrical active surface of the anvil, and in that on the other hand, the machining operation is at least partially carried out immediately after the operation of obtaining the indented composite cylinder (9 ; 34) and before the parting-off, the latter being carried out at the position corresponding to the original grooves (5 ; 26-29) and at the position of the parts which have not been subjected to appreciable deformations (11). |
