Rear-view mirror for motor vehicles

The rear-view mirror is intended to increase the safety of driving- school vehicles. Since in most passenger motor vehicles the flasher stalk cannot be discerned from the passenger seat, two dimmable light-emitting diodes have been built into the rear-view mirror. They flash together with the respective driving-direction indicator, that is to say the right-hand side of the mirror equals right-hand driving- direction indicator and vice versa. The driving instructor can thus monitor the position of the flasher. The electronic system is inherently short-circuit-proof. Since, in addition, the brightness of the light-emitting diodes is designed such that they can be discerned in sunlight, a switch has been built in for control purposes. The rear-view mirror is glued with the mirror foot to an arbitrary position on the windscreen. It is easy to carry out the installation. The cable between the electronic system and mirror is a ribbon cable. The other connections are produced using cables customary in vehicle technology.
