Diffraction-limited lens for a Bragg cell

A diffraction-limited lens for a Bragg cell for carrying out a Fourier transformation is described which is formed by a cylindrically polished exit face (L) of the waveguide (BW) of the Bragg cell (BZ) which defines a step in the index of refraction. This step in the index of refraction leads to the light emerging from the waveguide (BW) of the Bragg cell being focused and the signal being Fourier-transformed. <IMAGE>
