On metal screws, preferably for hinge bolts of spectacle hinges, the screw shank (3) is sheathed in plastic. In order to be able to use the injection-moulding process to sheath such screws in high-temperature-resistant plastics, which flow poorly in the plasticised state, it is proposed to inject the plastic through at least one injection opening through the screw (1) itself, opening out at a bonding face (16) between the sheathing (17) and the screw (1).
