Method for controlling diseases of crop plants

A novel method is described for controlling diseases of crop plants, in which an aerobic culture medium of one or more microorganisms of the genus Arthrobacter, Corynebacterium or Pseudomonas is applied. The microorganisms are capable of breaking down 2-oxo-4-methyl-6-ureidohexahydropyrimidine and they are resistant to infectious pathogenic soil fungi. This allows diseases of crop plants to be controlled which are caused by infectious pathogenic soil fungi. The method according to the invention has an improving effect on damage caused by continuous cultivation.
