摘要 Disc vacuum filter has a trough with weirs for the slurry feed in. The discs are attached to a rotating shaft and dip into the slurry in this trough. Passages inside the shaft and disc connect it to a vacuum source. The slurry is fed into the troughs via inclined weirs. There are also a number of protruding baffles from the wall of the trough to distribute the slurry and prevent sedimentation of the slurry to the base of the trough. Used esp. for filtering polydispersions such as arise during the purification of coal and anthracite. The system ensures that a uniform cake forms on the discs and that a thicker cake does not form near the periphery.
