PURPOSE:To cover a gap between a bumper and a fender panel with a lip as well as to prevent any movement of the bumper and damage to a coated film from happening as a projection collides with the fender panel, by setting the lip and the projection both to a thick end face of the bumper in parallel with each other. CONSTITUTION:A bumper 1 is opposed to a fender panel 2 at its thick end face 1a. In this case, at the inner part of this thick end face 1a, there is made up of a rigid supporting projection 20 whose contact part 20a of a tip end part having a section in circular arcuate form makes contact with the said panel 2. Likewise, at the outer part of the thick end face 1a, there is made up of a lip 30 which is projected over as being almost flush with an outer peripheral edge surface 1b of the bumper 1 and makes contact with the said panel 2. And, the length of the lip 30 is formed into being somewhat longer than that of the supporting projection 20 and, under such a condition that the supporting projection 20 contacts the said panel 2, the tip end of the lip 30 is pressed down to the panel 2 with a degree of force not to damage the coated film, thus a gap 8 between the bumper 1 and the panel 2 is removed to nothing without fail. |
