A frame of the image field which bounds the film gate of a camera and has at least one wall member (21) which can pivot like a door and on whose inner wall facing the film gate a guide surface (24a) is provided which can be pivoted by the film start (F) and thereby enables the latter to advance into a film-winding chamber (6) in such a way that the film start (F) can reach the film-winding chamber (6) without stopping inside the frame of the image field. The inclined guide surface (24a) enables the front end (Fa) of the film start (F) to pass via the door-like wall member (21). <IMAGE>
