PURPOSE:To enable a high speed switching motion to be performed and a long- life valve mechanism to be provided, by setting up magnets for closing valve symmetrically about the reciprocally moving axial line of the valve and by closing said valve via magnetic attraction of said magnets, with respect to a gas plasma-type X-ray generator. CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch 11 is switched on, a relay switch 9 is closed, a magnetic piece 3 is attracted toward the upper left direction shown in the figure, an acceptor 21 is pushed with shock, consequently the valve 1 is opened at a high speed and the gas is spouted from a small hole 5 into the vacuum. Here, the outer peripherical part 18 of the small hole shall be, for instance, a cathode and an facing electrode 19 shall be an anode; a high voltage is applied to the spouted gas and said gas is subjected to electic discharge to form a plasma column 13 from which X-rays are radiated. When the control switch is opened predetermined time, for instance, 10-100mus after. The valve 1 is opened, the relay switch 10 is closed to excite the second electromagnetic coil 8, and the magnetic piece 3 is attracted toward the upper right direction shown in the figure, and an acceptor 22 is pushed with shock; consequently, the valve 1 is closed at a high speed and the gas-spout is stopped. |
