QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF WATER-SOLUBLE AZULENE

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in quantiative analysis by extracting a sample contg. water-soluble azulene with a weak alkaline solvent then processing the extracted liquid with an antiphase ion pair chromatograph using a neutral - weak alkaline eluate. CONSTITUTION:A weak alkaline solvent such as sodium hydrogencarbonate is added to a sample contg. water-soluble azulene, and further a bromcresol green eluate which is an internal standard material is added thereto according to need to extract the sample. The extracted liquid is centrifugally separated, whereafter the supernatant liquid is processed with an antiphase ion pair chromatotraph using a neutral - weak alkaline eluate contg. a quaternary ammonium salt. The quick quantitative analysis is thus accomplished by the direct process of the water-soluble azulene with the liquid chromatography.
