PURPOSE:To damp a stepping motor without adjusting the timing of the exciting pulse of each phase by switching the supplied voltage. CONSTITUTION:When stopped at CD stable point, a rotor is switched to B phase when the rotor passes the BC stable point, to thereby lower the supplied voltage from V1 to V2 simultaneously as the D phase is excited. Accordingly, since the rotor is attracted by relatively weak force toward the CD stable point, it approaches the CD stable point in the state that the speed is decelerated. The rotor is attracted to the CD stable point by the strong attracting force and stopped by returning the supplied voltage again to the high value V1 when the rotor approached the CD stable point. After stopping, the supplied voltage is again lowered to the V2, thereby reducing the power consumption at the stopping time. |
